![]() ![]() The time JM / AKA Rachael is questioning the CEO is 55 seconds. But even then odds are if they don't take immediate and massive advantage of that unwariness and the being off balance due to the initial attack they will lose. using craftiness and stealth) and the person with size can be put off balance. Now take that same fight, the other person catches the first unaware (i.e. Have any of these people been in a fight where +1' and +100lbs happens? It's nothing and generally you are able to completely protect yourself while using size, strength and weight to your advantage and the other person tires themselves out fighting at such a huge disadvantage. But no sorry Hollywood, never going to believe a 5'2" 100lb person who isn't ripped like Bruce Lee is going to kick anyone butt in a situation where arm length and weight can be a factor (any fight with grappling, in close quarters, multiple bad guys etc) with people with +1' and +100lbs on them. Now make this movie and JM dying on the station ground, her going all assassin/craft/stealthy, being smart etc into a "Jason Bourne" type. ![]() JM is about the same size in the fight scenes as people he is fighting, so in other words this movie should be a comedy because it's hilarious they think we could believe someone would fight like that, and win. Let alone throw me through a window, etc. I am sorta close to JM size, my Fiancee is close to Rachel's size. And apparently CNN does live interviews of embattled pharmaceutical CEOs and lets random people call in to Threaten guests like they're a local radio station taking requests.Įverything about this movie just felt like they couldn't be fucked to spend 5 minutes in Wikipedia to not make their screenplay sound like a first draft. Why is the FBI involved in the first place? The whole thing takes place in PA and didn't seem to imply any federal laws were broken. No explanation for how an edited and context free recording obliquely referring to nebulous wrongdoing while under duress that is sent in by a wanted fugitive is acceptable evidence to open a criminal investigation into a sitting US senator. That hitman isn't even from any country, just "a village" where everyone was killed when "some rebels" showed up. No explanation for how a US senator has access to paramilitary hitmen. No explanation for the "bribe" that stops a generic version of an off-patent drug from being released or why No one else is making a generic version. This movie felt like it was written by a complete idiot who thinks he's fucking brilliant. The only reason the hitman was even included was to show she wouldn't murder that one guy, which was a weaker plot point. The only real complaint I would say is the movie could have been trimmed by about 15 minutes by reorganizing the middle bits with her and her dad after different people. I never saw the trailer so I had no expectations. She will always be looking over her back, but perhaps with her change of clothes symbolizing leaving her dad/mom behind, changing into clothes appropriate to her age, that she is now ready to move on. The truth is unless she is going to a non-extradition country - the FBI will still end up catcher her at some point in her life and so will those behind "it all". People seem to think the FBI let her go, when in reality she had just spent the last 2 years planning everything out, from getting into it, to her escape plan with fake passports (given she had multiple in the bag). I also liked the fact that she was having trouble dealing with her grief, which this movie did a great job dealing with, from Mamoa walking around trying to find a place alone after his wife died, till the scene where she is on the bench with her head on his lap, all the way till she still says "we" when she is face to face with the politician. I rather liked the twist for explaining like you said, why Momoa was always on the losing end. While as scrappy as a someone of her size can be, most all of the fights she would lose, even with the training and drive she had. I thought so too, I rather enjoyed the film which apparently is the contrary to what most people think.
